Yes. You may be able to update the name on your ticket while keeping the same itinerary. Whether a fee or documentation is required depends on the type of update requested.
Name correction (no fee)
A name correction fixes small spelling or formatting issues so the reservation matches the same traveler's government-issued ID. These updates do not change the traveler.Eligible corrections include:
- Fixing spelling or typographical errors
- Swapped first and last names
- Up to three (3) character corrections
- Adding a middle name
- Adding a last name or double last name
- Adding suffixes (Jr., Sr., III, IV)
- Changing a nickname to a legal name (e.g., Chris to Christopher)
Only one free name correction is allowed per passenger. Please chat with an agent to start the process.
The following are not eligible as free name corrections:
- Changes that indicate a different traveler
- Corrections exceeding three (3) characters
- More than one name correction per passenger
These requests are treated as name changes and may require a fee.
Name Change (fee applies)
A name change updates the reservation to a different traveler, even if the itinerary stays the same. Name changes require payment of applicable fees. Please chat with an agent to start the process.

Legal name changes (no fee)
Legal name changes are permitted at no charge when valid documentation is submitted and verified.
Required documents include:
- Updated government‑issued ID, and
- Marriage certificate, divorce decree, or court order
Requests must be submitted at least seven (7) days before travel and are processed within 72 hours.
Frontier Miles account name update (no fee)
Frontier Miles account updates are separate from flight reservations. Only legal name changes are permitted and require documentation. Account ownership transfers are not allowed. Please use Document Submission Form to request updates to your Frontier Miles account name.
