Together, making an impact
In collaboration with One Tree Planted, we’re making an impact on reforestation in the Pacific Northwest to help protect the endangered Orcas. Become a part of the impact by donating to plant trees.
At Frontier, Our standards are environmentally focused, our fares are low and we will get you to your destination efficiently. We are working hard to reduce our environmental footprint as much as possible and to set a new greener standard for travel. All you have to do is to choose to fly greener!
OUR TRAVEL STANDARD IS GREEN
Green isn't just the color of our logo - it is how we do business. Frontier saved 160 million gallons of fuel in 2023 alone. That's the equivalent of:
561 BILLION Straws Disappearing
24 BILLION Plastic Bottles Removed from Production
305 THOUSAND Cars Removed from the Road For One Year
24 MILLION Seedlings Being Planted
HOW WE STACK AGAINST THE COMPETITION
WHAT MAKES FRONTIER THE GREENEST AIRLINE?
More Fuel Efficient Technology
Frontier operates the largest A320neo family fleet in the U.S. with an average age of four years. By having the youngest fleet in the industry, we burn less fuel - saving our customers cash AND reducing our carbon footprint.
In our ongoing efforts to reduce our carbon footprint we partnered with aircraft engine manufacturer Pratt & Whitney in 2022 to build 134 of our A320neo family aircraft with the ultra-efficient GTF engine.
The greater the weight of an aircraft, the larger the amount of fuel an engine consumes. In 2021, Frontier introduced comfier, lightweight Recaro seats allowing for a 30% reduction in weight to create less of an environmental impact.
Overpacking is so last year. We offer a variety of travel options to encourage passengers to pack on the lighter side.
And if you have flown with us before, you may have noticed the absence of inflight services like Wi-Fi and entertainment. These are conscious steps we've taken towards lightening the load of our planes to allow for a happier planet.
At Frontier we are all about making small changes that have big impacts. Join us in wasting less. Instead of printing your boarding pass, download our mobile app to access it there.
Onboard we are transitioning from plastic to biodegradable cups. And, we have gone paperless in the cockpit; while having discontinued the onboard magazine.
