Morrison the Crested Caracara

Introducing Morrison, the Crested Caracara, to the Frontier fleet! The Crested Caracara stands out among raptors with its long neck, long yellow legs, and massive gray-blue bill. Measuring about 58 cm in length, it boasts a striking appearance with a white head and throat, white wing tips, and a white tail contrasting with its dark body, red face, and signature black crest. The species' range historically included Arizona, Florida, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Texas. Morrison is named in honor of biologist Dr. Joan Morrison, who has dedicated over 30 years to studying and understanding this unique bird. We are committed to raising awareness about this endangered species.
