Lone Star the Longhorn Steer

The Texas longhorn is known for its massive horns, which can reach up to 8 feet in length. With their distinctive dark red and white coloring, longhorns are one of the few breeds of cattle where both the male and female have horns. Longhorns are known for their hardiness and were first brought over to the United States with Christopher Columbus. If you go anywhere in Texas, it won't be hard to spot the iconic longhorn both in person, personified in statues, or even on the tail of a Frontier plane!
