Finn the Oceanic Whitetip Shark

The critically endangered oceanic whitetip sharks, are under severe threat from overfishing, particularly by commercial longliners on the high seas. These majestic creatures also face capture in purse seine and gillnet fisheries, primarily for their fins, meat, liver oil, and skin. The intensity of overfishing has led to a staggering global decline in their populations, estimated to be over 90%. In honor of our original Finn, who retired in June 2021, we embark on this journey to raise awareness and advocate for the protection of the oceanic whitetip sharks.
