For Domestic Travel
There may be local and regional COVID health and safety measures in effect at your destination. Please make sure you review before travel. For travel to, or within, the U.S., please visit the CDC State and Territorial Health website for up-to-date restrictions on each U.S. state and territory.
For International Travel
There may be COVID health and safety measures in effect at your destination. Please make sure you review before travel. For international arrivals, you can find the latest country-specific information through the U.S. Department of State website.

All Passengers Arriving From A Foreign Country To The US
  1. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued an Order on January 12, 2021 requiring proof of a negative COVID-19 test or documentation of having recovered from COVID-19 for all air passengers arriving from a foreign country to the US. This Order will be effective on January 26, 2021. More info.
  2. Required Forms: All air passengers arriving from a foreign country to the US will be required to complete an attestation form.

Antigua and Barbuda Entry Requirements

As of April 16, 2022: Arriving passengers are NOT required to present proof of vaccination. Fully vaccinated passengers who show proof of a World Health Organization/A&B Ministry of Health approved 2-dose vaccine or a single dose vaccine are NOT required to show proof of a negative covid test to enter the destination.

Partially or Unvaccinated passengers are required to submit a negative Real Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) within 3 days of arrival OR a Rapid Antigen Test within 24 hours of arrival.

Bahamas Travel Entry Requirements

Only non-vaccinated travelers entering the Bahamas will be required to present a negative RT-PCR (including PCR, NAA, NAAT, TMA or RNA) test prior to entry into the Bahamas. Vaccinated travelers and travelers between the ages of 2-11 may continue to present either a negative Rapid Antigen Test or negative RT-PCR Test. In addition, effective 4 January 2022, all persons remaining in The Bahamas for longer than 48 hours will be required to undergo a rapid Antigen Test, regardless of vaccination status. Belize Entry Requirements

Effective Feb. 15, 2022, all visitors are required to apply for Belize Travel Health Insurance – a mandatory insurance that helps protect travelers against incurred medical and non-medical expenses, if they test positive for COVID-19 during their stay in Belize (Belizeans, permanent residents & foreign homeowners are exempt). Travelers can purchase the insurance prior to their arrival or upon arrival. Verification of travelers insurance will take place at the Phillip Goldson International Airport's Immigration Department. Also, passengers are required to present a negative Covid-19 PCR test taken within 96 hours of arrival or a negative Antigen Rapid Test taken within 48 hours of arrival. Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport

Due to increased TSA wait times at CVG to get through security checkpoint, CVG ticket counter will now open 2.5 hours before the first departure. We recommend that you arrive to the airport at least 2 hours prior to departure to ensure there is sufficient time to arrive at the gate within 15 minutes of departure.

Costa Rica Entry Requirements

All international tourists are permitted to enter Costa Rica by air, land and sea. Tourists must meet the visa requirements, when applicable, as well as the requirements established in the framework of the pandemic.

The Government of Costa Rica does not require tourists entering by air, land or sea to present a negative COVID-19 test, nor quarantine upon arrival. Tourists visiting Costa Rica are requested to abide by the sanitary protocols in place when participating in tourist activities throughout the country.

Dominican Republic Travel Restrictions

Passengers will no longer need to present a negative COVID-19 test upon arrival into the Dominican Republic. Upon entry, airports will perform a quick, aleatory breath test to a percentage of passengers, and all those who present symptoms, upon arrival. All passengers will also need to perform a temperature check. Passengers who present symptoms or whose test results are positive will be isolated and attended at authorized locations.

Passengers who present a vaccination card no less than three weeks after the last dose was placed or a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours prior to arrival in the Dominican Republic will be exempted from the random test. El Salvador Travel Restrictions

All entry restrictions and requirements into El Salvador have been removed. No testing and no vaccination proof is required at this time.

Guatemala Travel Restrictions

Non-Guatemalan travelers must have a COVID-19 Vaccination Card or Proof of Vaccination with either a complete two dose cycle or single dose(If J&J) Completed 14 days prior to departure. (Applies to anyone over the age of 12.) All travelers must have a Negative PCR or Antigen COVID 19 Test completed no more than three (3) days prior to Departure. (Applies to anyone over the age of 10.) Medical exceptions have been made for passengers who cannot be vaccinated due to medical reasons, but they will need to carry a medical certification/note explaining stating their exception. Any passengers that for any reason travel without a negative COVID test will have to lab test on arrival in GUA.

Guatemalans Traveling to Guatemala must have a COVID-19 Vaccination Card or Proof of Vaccination with either a complete two dose cycle or single dose(If J&J) Completed 14 days prior to departure. (Applies to anyone over the age of 12.) Or, Guatemalans must have a Negative PCR or Antigen COVID 19 Test completed no more than three (3) days prior to Departure. (Applies to anyone over the age of 10.)

Houston (George Bush Intercontinental Airport) Updates

IAH has been experiencing traffic delays entering the airport due to construction at various terminals. All passengers departing from IAH please plan travel time accordingly.

Jamaica Travel Restrictions

Beginning March 1, 2022, Jamaica will no longer require travelers to obtain a travel authorization and quarantine requirements will also be eliminated.

Travelers 12 years and older will need to provide a negative COVID-19 test (PCR or Antigen), which was conducted within 72 hours prior to date of travel. For more information on entry protocols for Jamaica, click here.

Mexico Travel Restrictions

To this day, there are no entry restrictions in Mexico and no obligation to carry a COVID test or to do quarantine. However, it is mandatory to register on the Mexico Vuela Seguro Platform before boarding and to show the QR code at the arrival airport.

Puerto Rico Travel Restriction

All arriving passengers, from domestic and international destinations, must complete the online Travel Declaration Form. Fully vaccinated travelers are required to provide their vaccination card when completing the Travel Declaration form. Non-vaccinated passengers must provide evidence of a pre- departure COVID-19 test taken within 48 hours of arrival. The negative result must be from a qualified viral test; either a nucleic acid amplification test ("NAAT") or an antigen test. If a Non- Vaccinated passenger does not upload the test result of COVID-19 on the Form page, at the time of arrival, they must perform the qualified viral tests in the following 48 hours of arrival. San Diego International Airport Construction Impacts

San Diego International Airport has begun construction on its new Terminal 1 project. Beginning January 10, 2022, there will be a 57% reduction of parking capacity in Terminal 1 (where Frontier currently operates). In July 2022, all parking in front of Terminal 1 will be eliminated through 2024. We recommend that travelers consider making a parking reservation in the Terminal 2 parking plaza or utilizing the curbside valet service to avoid construction impacts. SXM Travel Entry Requirement

As of January 1st 2021; fully vaccinated passengers who have received their booster shot (dose should not be older than 9 months) will no longer be required a to take a COVID-19 test to enter St. Maarten. Fully vaccinated passengers older than 5 and younger than 18 will also not need a negative COVID test. Fully vaccinated passengers without the booster shot must still complete a negative rt-PCR completed within 48 hours or Antigen test within 24 hours. Unvaccinated passengers must still complete an rt-PCR test within 48 hours of takeoff. All passengers must complete a mandatory health pre-authorization application through an Electronic Health Authorization System (EHAS). Authorization is required for boarding and processing time can take up to 12 hours. Passengers are also required to obtain COVID-19 travel insurance. U.S. Virgin Islands Entry Requirements

Unvaccinated passengers, aged 5 years and older, must have a negative COVID-19 PCR or Antigen test, taken within five days of travel. Passengers do NOT need to get tested or self-quarantine if fully vaccinated or have recovered from COVID-19 in the past three months. Vaccinated passengers may either use their offical vaccination record stored with the U.S. Virgin Islands Department of Health or upload a copy of their vaccine card.

Every traveler who enters the U.S. Virgins Islands is required to use the USVI Travel Screening Portal and receive travel clearance before travel to the Territory. To complete the travel screening and for more information click here.

Beginning July 14th, As required by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) directive, there will be a temporary suspension of dogs entering the United States from countries classified as high-risk for dog rabies. Frontier will not accept dogs that have been in a high-risk country six (6) months prior to their flight to the United States. Please note this restriction includes trained service dogs. The CDC will continue to update the list of high-risk countries for dog rabies, and you can find this list at Frontier currently serves the following destinations listed on the high-risk countries for dog rabies:

  • Dominican Republic
  • El Salvador
  • Guatemala


New Hand Sanitizer Regulation

TSA is now allowing passengers to bring liquid hand sanitizer up to 12oz. in carry-on bags until further notice. You should expect that containers larger than 3.4oz. will need to be screened separately, which will add some time to the checkpoint screening.

Apple MacBook Pro Laptop Notice

Apple has determined that, in a limited number of older generation 15-inch MacBook Pro units, the battery may overheat and pose a fire safety risk. Affected units were sold primarily between September 2015 and February 2017. Not all such products sold during this period are affected. Product eligibility is determined by the product serial number. Please visit the Apple Support Page for more information. If your Macbook Pro has this defective battery, your laptop will need to be turned off and unplugged during your flight.
