AMERICA'S GREENEST AIRLINE

Be kind to the planet and fly greener! Frontier's carbon footprint is smaller than any other airline in North America. When you choose to fly 'America's Greenest Airline' you're doing good by Mother Nature.

OUR TRAVEL STANDARD IS GREEN

Green isn't just the color of our logo - it is how we do business. Frontier saved 125 million gallons of fuel in 2019 alone. That's the equivalent of:
438 BILLION
Straws
Disappearing
18.6 BILLION
Water Bottles Removed from Production
243 THOUSAND
Cars Removed from the Road For One Year
14 MILLION
Seedlings
Being Planted

HOW WE STACK AGAINST THE COMPETITION

WHAT MAKES FRONTIER THE GREENEST AIRLINE?

More Fuel Efficient Technology

Frontier operates the largest A320neo fleet with an average fleet age of four years. By having the youngest fleet in the industry, we burn less fuel - saving our customers cash AND reducing our carbon footprint.

In our ongoing efforts to reduce our carbon footprint we have partnered with aircraft engine manufacturer Pratt & Whitney to build 134 of our A320neo family aircraft with the ultra-efficient GTF engine in 2022.

Lean & Green Seats

The greater the weight of an aircraft, the larger the amount of fuel an engine consumes. In 2021, Frontier introduced comfier, lightweight Recaro seats allowing for a 30% reduction in weight to create less of an environmental impact.

Flying Lighter

Overpacking is so last year. We offer a variety of travel options to encourage passengers to pack on the lighter side.

And if you have flown with us before, you may have noticed the absence of inflight services like Wi-Fi and entertainment. These are conscious steps we've taken towards lightening the load of our planes to allow for a happier planet.

HOW YOU CAN MAKE YOUR TRIP EVEN GREENER

PLAN GREEN

You can find a green hotel or accommodation in any destination.

GETTING AROUND

Utilize public transportation such as buses or trains, and bike or walk instead of renting a car.

SHOP & EAT LOCAL

Local businesses are more likely to source their goods locally, meaning less resources used in creation and transportation.

PACK LIGHT

More baggage means more weight and more weight means more fuel and a larger carbon footprint.

FILL-UP

Help reduce inflight waste and reduce the use of plastic by bringing a reliable water bottle to the airport and fill it up once you're past security.
